Whenever people decide to give online dating a go, they have to make sure their profile represents them in a positive light.<\/p>\n
There is no point in joining a service if they do not give themselves a chance of finding Mr or Mrs Right.<\/p>\n
This is why it is a good idea to seek out some advice on the matter, as this should increase anyone's chance of getting a few dates.<\/p>\n
Rachel Tarley, writing in the Metro, observed that honesty is the best policy and so individuals should not write any lies on their page.<\/p>\n
"On the whole, people appreciate honesty, because surprises just aren't that romantic in the context of internet dating," she added.<\/p>\n
Ms Tarley added there is nothing wrong with injecting a bit of humour into a profile, but everyone should be wary of cliches and platitudes.<\/p>\n
Finally, people should not be afraid to be direct and respond if they read a profile that interests them.<\/p>\n
