raises \u00a311k for H4H"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over &pound;11,000 has been raised for Help for Heroes (H4H) thanks to the efforts of a band with a difference.<\/p>\n<p>Autism4Heroes is a musical venture formed in the north-east of England and it only features people with autism.<\/p>\n<p>In the past nine months, the outfit has managed to collect &pound;11,600 for the military charity, the Sunderland Echo reports.<\/p>\n<p>To mark their efforts, the group was invited to take part in a 'Desert Island Discs' style programme for Radio Sunderland for Hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>Radio Sunderland public relations officer Pauline Phillips said: &quot;The young people entertained the volunteers who were recording the programme with their stories about how much they have enjoyed the experience of recording their own song and fundraising for H4H.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Autism4Heroes project leader Jak Dixon stated he is really proud of the effort being made by the bunch of people and he added it has
