Most people will have had at least one bad dating experience.

Whether it is the other person not turning up, failing to create a connection or just finding conversation very difficult to come by, there are numerous reasons why individuals do not schedule another meeting.

However, newly-released research has found 33 per cent of single people think meeting up in a group is a better way to try to get to know someone.

Some 60 per cent said a restaurant is their favourite location for an initial meeting, while 21 per cent like to hear witty conversation starters as the date progresses.

More than one-third of respondents also feel there are not enough options available to them when looking for Mr or Mrs Right.

It seems that people need to focus on making dating a fun experience for both parties if they are to be successful in their hunt for that special someone.
