{"id":1841,"date":"2012-11-13T14:03:24","date_gmt":"2012-11-13T14:03:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?1841"},"modified":"2012-11-13T14:03:24","modified_gmt":"2012-11-13T14:03:24","slug":"man-to-cycle-across-mexico-for-h4h","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/man-to-cycle-across-mexico-for-h4h\/","title":{"rendered":"Man to cycle across Mexico for H4H"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man is going to cycle 1,000 miles across Mexico in an effort to raise &pound;10,000 for Help for Heroes (H4H).<\/p>\n<p>Stuart McCurry is looking to complete the challenge in eight days despite coming up against tropical farmland and a dense jungle, the Chesham Examiner reports.<\/p>\n<p>In order to increase awareness of the event, he recently took part in a charity spinathon at Chesham Leisure Centre, which saw him use an exercise bike almost non-stop from 09:00 GMT to 18:00 GMT.<\/p>\n<p>Mr McCurry, who has previously completed the 350-mile Big Battlefield Bike Ride in France, played down the significance of his achievements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The challenges are less than those faced each day by our troops and in particular, the wounded. As a country we owe a debt to these people,&quot; he added.<\/p>\n<p>So far Mr McCurry has collected over &pound;6,000 and this means he is well on his way to reaching his target.<\/p>\n<p>Posted by
