No one likes cleaning the floors, but up until now it is something that homeowners have always had to do.

However, a US company thinks it has come up with a novel – if somewhat controversial – solution to the issue.

It has invented the Baby Mop, which consists of a babygro fitted with specially-designed mop heads fixed to the arms and legs.

The idea is that as youngsters are learning how to crawl, they can clean and polish the floors at the same time.

I'm not sure if it's ingenious or just wrong, but it is raising eyebrows and plenty of people seem to be excited by the invention.

Mike Parker from BetterThanPants.com said: "So far all the feedback from customers has been very positive, however we get some negative emails surrounding the idea of the actual product."

It'll be interesting to see just how popular it proves to be.
