Everyone has their own routine in the morning for eating breakfast.

Some people prefer Weetabix, others go for Cornflakes. However, one thing you do not expect to find at the bottom of your cereal bowl is a dead mouse.

Mark Hunter got the shock of his life when he tucked into his Rice Krispies and discovered there was a small mammal in it.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Mr Hunter said: "I was horrified because I'd already had one mouthful. I saw this dark shape appear in the milk, but I didn't realise what it was until I fished it out with my spoon."

After he got in touch with Kellogg's, the mouse was taken away to the University of Liverpool for tests in order to find out where it came from.

It would certainly put you off your breakfast for a while and Mr Hunter might just stick to toast from now on.
