A charity golf tournament in Cornwall has raised £3,500 for Help for Heroes (H4H).<\/p>\n
The Perranzabuloe Rotary Club staged the Am-Am Open Golf Championship – for the 19th consecutive year – at the Perranporth Golf Club, the West Briton reports.<\/p>\n
Some 42 teams competed in the event and all the prizewinners were given their gongs by David Laud, president of the rotary club.<\/p>\n
A presentation evening has been arranged for November 21st and a representative from H4H – which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary as a charity – will be on hand to accept a cheque for the money collected.<\/p>\n
John Keers, Mike Rowse and Bruce Edwards – who are members of the Perranporth Golf Club – came out on top with a score of 85 points, closely followed by Dave Saget, Jason Gay and Geoff Hammett on 82 points.<\/p>\n
The rotary club extended a big thanks to the golf club for its use of the facilities.<\/p>\n
