Going to the dentist can be a scary experience for many kids and they will often do anything to avoid taking the trip.

However, an innovative dentist in Indonesia has come up with a solution to make children feel more at ease – a musical drill.

Dhanni Gustiana has developed equipment that plays some of youngsters' favourite tunes in an effort to lighten the mood.

The customised machine – which even has its own disco light – is connected to an MP3 player, which means children cannot hear the buzzing noise of the drill when it is being used.

According to the practitioner, the drill is the main worry of many youngsters, rather than the actual process of going to the dentist.

I'm sure this must go down a storm with any children who use this dentist, as anything that puts a bit of fun into this scary experience has to get the thumbs up!
