{"id":1746,"date":"2012-09-20T08:52:28","date_gmt":"2012-09-20T08:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?1746"},"modified":"2012-09-20T08:52:28","modified_gmt":"2012-09-20T08:52:28","slug":"papergirl-keeps-same-route-for-41-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/papergirl-keeps-same-route-for-41-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Papergirl keeps same route for 41 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For a lot of people, the first job they will ever have is as a paperboy or girl.<\/p>\n<p>However, after a year or two, they generally give up this role and move on to something else.<\/p>\n<p>Not Joyce Pugh though, who has had the same paper round for the past 41 years, as the great-granny delivers the Shropshire Star every evening for a paltry 60p a day.<\/p>\n<p>It is thought she has handed out over 291,000 copies of the newspaper in her time and pedalled over 10,000 miles in this time period.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Ms Pugh said: &quot;I do it every afternoon when the papers come out. It takes me about three-quarters of an hour. I'll keep going as long as I can.
