Most people would love to be able to fly.

Maybe he has been inspired by watching too many Superman films, but daredevil Yves 'Jetman' Rossy has come closer than most.

The 53-year-old uses a winged jetpack to take to the air, which makes for an unbelievable sight.

At present, Mr Rossy can only stay in the sky for 13 minutes, but he hopes to extend this in the future.

"Since my technology is getting more and more reliable I am very confident about these flights. I can relax and enjoy such a fantastic experience," he said.

For his latest stunt, Mr Rossy – who can reach speeds of up to 186 mph when in the air – flew side-by-side with a vintage Spitfire.

You have to take your hat off to the man, because I certainly wouldn't have the courage to fly with just a wing strapped to my back.
