two years, 11 months and eight days into the marriage, new research suggests.<\/p>\n<p>A study of 4,000 guys and girls by confetti.co.uk revealed that couples are most comfortable with each other&rsquo;s bad habits just shy of three years into the union.<\/p>\n<p>By this time their sex life is in full flow and they will have carried out enough DIY projects for their house to feel like home.<\/p>\n<p>Also, couples still have time for romantic meals together, the study found.<\/p>\n<p>Carol Richardson, from the website, said: &quot;They&rsquo;ll spend the longest amount of quality time together each evening and make small gestures like offering to cook dinner and help with the washing up.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Troops may also want to keep in mind what researchers at the Geneva Business School recently discovered.<\/p>\n<p>They claim the key to a long-lasting marriage is for guys to marry a woman who is five years their junior, from the same cultural background and who is
