Seven people have taken part in a mini Olympic Games in Cleethorpes to raise cash for Help for Heroes (H4H).

The seven-strong group took part in various fitness routines and received sponsorships along the way, the Grimsby Telegraph reports.

Personal trainer Hayley Strachan was the brains behind the operation and she is keen to raise awareness of the vital work carried out by the good cause.

"The mini Olympics consisted of running, rowing, biking and lifting weights. I chose to do it for H4H because my father was in the army," she stated.

James Earl decided to take part in the challenge because he has a lot of friends who are in the armed forces.

He added not only does it offer individuals the chance to raise money for a worthy cause, but it also keeps them fit.

The 25-year-old trains five times a week and so he viewed it as a challenge.
