Everyone has their favourite comfort food for when they are feeling down.

Some may turn to ice cream, others chocolate, but I've never met anyone before who likes nothing better than to eat a good rock.

Teresa Widener has been nibbling on pebbles and stones for over 20 years and estimates she has consumed the equivalent of a humpback whale in this time.

The reason the lady enjoys rocks so much is because she suffers from Pica, a medical condition that leaves its sufferers prone to consuming strange objects.

Ms Widener observed that, since she got married last year, her cravings have not been as severe.

"But everyone has bad days and when I have one only rocks can make me feel better," she remarked.

I wouldn't like to see her dentist bill, because I can't imagine her teeth are in very good nick if she is always chewing on rocks.
