Usually people are discouraged from snorting stuff up their nose and for good reason.

But this is not the case at the 18th Snuff World Championships, which were recently held in Germany.

Around 90 participants – from Germany, Austria, the US and Switzerland – had to sniff as much snuff tobacco as they could in 60 seconds, with points awarded for the amount taken and the cleanliness of the snuff site.

Apparently the size of a person's nose does not matter, which means anyone with a big schnoz does not have an unfair advantage.

This means it is all about technique and so individuals would do well to practice their snuffing method.

Personally, it's not a competition I will be looking to enter anytime soon, but each to their own.

And one thing's for sure, whoever managed to win, their prize shouldn't be snuffed at.
