{"id":1562,"date":"2012-05-24T12:25:35","date_gmt":"2012-05-24T12:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?1562"},"modified":"2012-05-24T12:25:35","modified_gmt":"2012-05-24T12:25:35","slug":"72-year-old-to-complete-2-marathons-for-military-charity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/72-year-old-to-complete-2-marathons-for-military-charity\/","title":{"rendered":"72-year-old to complete 2 marathons for military charity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 72-year-old is hoping to complete two walking marathons to raise cash for the Veteran's Charity.<\/p>\n<p>Robin Pinfold is doing the challenge in honour of his father, who was an RAF fighter pilot, the Cornish Guardian reports.<\/p>\n<p>He is taking part in the first and last leg of The Forces March &ndash; which sees runners and walkers attempt to complete five, 26-mile walks in just five days.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Pinfold &ndash; who has only been able to train for one month &ndash; remarked he already walks his dog every day and so should be able to complete the challenge.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I am a bit apprehensive, my first marathon at 72, but really looking forward to it.
