Pets can be great companions for people who live on their own and might be a tremendous addition to a family.<\/p>\n
Typically, individuals opt for cats or dogs, but one family in the US has a slightly more out-there approach.<\/p>\n
RC Bridges and his wife Sherron share their home with two buffalo.<\/p>\n
It means their house can get pretty crowded, as the two animals weigh a combined 233 stone.<\/p>\n
While it is not quite a herd, there is no denying this is a strange pet choice and it has earned Mr Bridges the name of Buffalo Whisperer.<\/p>\n
Such is the love the pair have for the animals, one of them was best man as they recently renewed their vows.<\/p>\n
Ms Bridges told ABC News: "Well, he just sat up there [looking] all nice and pretty. And he held the rings and when he got tired of [holding them], he slung them off."<\/p>\n
