{"id":1556,"date":"2012-05-21T16:00:22","date_gmt":"2012-05-21T16:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?1556"},"modified":"2012-05-21T16:00:22","modified_gmt":"2012-05-21T16:00:22","slug":"tickets-for-troops-gets-3000-allocation-for-cricket","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/tickets-for-troops-gets-3000-allocation-for-cricket\/","title":{"rendered":"Tickets For Troops gets 3,000 allocation for cricket"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>British Armed Forces have been given 3,000 tickets for the third Test between England and West Indies at Edgbaston.<\/p>\n<p>The passes are being distributed through the Tickets For Troops scheme, which is open to any current servicemen and women or those medically discharged since 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Ross Barden, director of operations at Tickets For Troops, said he is delighted to be able to offer such a great allocation to the soldiers.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Edgbaston creates a unique atmosphere on Test match days that's different to every other UK cricket venue and makes it one of the most appealing events in our sporting calendar,&quot; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Colin Povey, chief executive of Edgbaston Stadium, noted it is one of two major projects the ground has planned with Tickets For Troops this summer, as a Twenty20 fixture is also being organised.<\/p>\n<p>The tickets cover the first three days of the Test &ndash; from June 7th to 9th.<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ADNFCR-2867-ID-801367781-ADNFCR\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.directnews.co.uk\/feedtrack\/justcopyright.gif?feedid=2867&amp;itemid=801367781\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some 3,000 tickets have been supplied for the third Test between England and West Indies. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":5136,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1556","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-support-soldiers"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
