Male online daters need to make sure their profile presents them in a good light.

This is because Judy Cole, writing in Men's Fitness, observed single people will not get a "second chance to make a first impression".

As a result, individuals should never include information that is superfluous and does not say anything about them.

"You need to combine persuasive language with the kind of images that makes your profile pop rather than flop," Ms Cole observed.

Those trying to attract female counterparts have to showcase their personality in such a way that it is deemed appealing.
