The annual Heroes National Celebrity Golf Day took place yesterday (April 25th).<\/p>\n
It saw a number of celebrities and sporting stars come together to raise cash for Help for Heroes.<\/p>\n
Sam Torrance, Dean Ashton, Ian Wright, Chris Evans, Max Rushden, Steve Rider and Jason Leonard were among those who teed off for the good cause.<\/p>\n
Bryn Parry, chief executive officer and one of the co-founders of Help for Heroes, said: "The money and awareness raised from this event will make a huge difference to those wounded, injured or who have become sick in the line of duty and their families." <\/p>\n
Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire was the venue for the event and the winning team – labelled Black Heart Foundation – featured former Ashes-winning captain Michael Vaughan.<\/p>\n
In 2006, the course was selected as one of the top 100 on the planet by Golf World, which highlights the difficulty faced by the stars.<\/p>\n
