Anyone who has seen Jaws knows that Great White Sharks can be scary creatures.

They grow to be massive and so most sane-minded individuals will be keen to stay clear of them.

But Andre Hartman is not like most people and he has earned the name of Shark Whisperer thanks to his exploits.

Pictures have emerged of him hypnotising a 16ft-long fish by rubbing its nose, as the creature has a lot of nerve endings in this area.

US photographer Doug Perrine caught Mr Hartman in action and said: "The shark seemed to enter a pleasant but confused state where it was dreamily seeking the source of the stimulus."

I'm not sure how Mr Hartman discovered he had this talent, but suffice to say it is pretty amazing.

However, he needs to be careful as one wrong move and he could well end up losing a limb or two.
