research carried out by myvouchercodes.co.uk, which polled 1,899 individuals as part of the study.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 59 per cent of online daters are utilising Twitter and Facebook in an effort to make their searches for a partner more successful.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Pearson, chairman at myvouchercodes.co.uk, said: &quot;Dating via social media can feel a lot safer, especially with the presence of mutual friends online.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>However, he added some people may prefer a more private approach that does not involve acquaintances.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals should maintain an open mind when seeking love online, as they cannot be sure where they will find their Mr or Mrs Right.<\/p>\n<p>The first step should be creating a snappy profile though, as this will offer them the chances to
