A cheeky calendar featuring men from Shepton Beauchamp and other villages has raised £3,250 for Help for Heroes.

The group of males stripped off to collect cash for the good cause and even received an endorsement from Prince William, the Western Gazette reports.

Malcolm Brown – who organised the shoot – got a letter from Buckingham Palace calling their efforts "truly amazing" after he had sent the finished product to the royal.

"I decided to raise money for Help for Heroes … when I saw a television programme which showed some of our servicemen coming back a lot worse off than we are," he added.

The 61-year-old bared his flesh as well and became Mr May, while he said he could have filled the calendar twice over because he got some many offers to volunteer.

Another famous fan of it is Dragons' Den star Deborah Meadon, who has also supported fundraising events in the village in the past.
