{"id":1318,"date":"2012-01-09T15:03:59","date_gmt":"2012-01-09T15:03:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?1318"},"modified":"2012-01-09T15:03:59","modified_gmt":"2012-01-09T15:03:59","slug":"north-east-raises-1m-for-poppy-appeal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/north-east-raises-1m-for-poppy-appeal\/","title":{"rendered":"North-east raises \u00a31m for Poppy Appeal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The north-east Poppy Appeal for 2011 raised over &pound;1 million for the Royal British Legion.<\/p>\n<p>This figure represents a year-on-year increase of 20 per cent and it means the region is the most generous in the UK, the Evening Chronicle reports.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Drake, county manager of the Royal British Legion (RBL) in the north-east, heaped praise on all of those who had donated to the cause.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It's brilliant news, we are absolutely delighted to achieve this milestone.
