Tickets for Troops is to give away a number of free passes to events over the Christmas period.<\/p>\n
The charity will be providing admission to armed forces members and their families to Premier League football matches, West End theatre shows and music concerts.<\/p>\n
Among the occasions that military personnel can expect to get into are the ATP World Tour Finals – currently taking place at the O2 Arena in London – the Aegon Masters Tennis and gigs featuring bands such as The Saturdays, White Lies and Kaiser Chiefs.<\/p>\n
Lord Marland, chairman of the third sector organisation, stated: "I want to pay tribute to the marvellous men and women of the armed forces who do an outstanding job in very difficult circumstances."<\/p>\n
He added he was delighted that at this time of year so many groups have donated tickets to the initiative.<\/p>\n
The Premier League has already committed to giving away 20,000 passes throughout the season.<\/p>\n
