But news reports suggest that right before their attacks began, they were instead spending their time trying to grab the attention of Ukrainian women.<\/p>\n<p class=\"root-block-node\" data-changed=\"false\" data-paragraphid=\"6\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/news\/4757640\/russian-soldiers-tinder-ukraine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to a report from the Sun<\/span><\/a>, soldiers who were on the cusp of attacking were instead lighting up the screens of women &ldquo;20 miles away&rdquo;.&nbsp;One has to wonder what implications this has for military strategy, given that it gives away the location of the soldiers who were actually more interested in hooking up than going to war.<\/p>\n<p class=\"root-block-node\" data-changed=\"false\" data-paragraphid=\"8\"><span class=\"red-underline\" data-startindex=\"0\" data-endindex=\"1\" data-paragraphid=\"8\">&ldquo;I<\/span> actually live in Kyiv but changed my location settings to Kharkiv after a friend told me there were Russian troops all over Tinder<span class=\"red-underline\" data-startindex=\"133\" data-endindex=\"194\" data-paragraphid=\"8\">,&rdquo; Synelnikova, a 33-year-old video producer, told the outlet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"root-block-node\" data-changed=\"false\" data-paragraphid=\"9\"><span class=\"red-underline\" data-startindex=\"0\" data-endindex=\"0\" data-paragraphid=\"9\">&ldquo;<\/span>One muscular guy posed up, trying to look sexy in <span class=\"red-underline\" data-startindex=\"50\" data-endindex=\"52\" data-paragraphid=\"9\">bed<\/span> posing with his pistol. Another was in full Russian combat <span class=\"red-underline\" data-startindex=\"113\" data-endindex=\"116\" data-paragraphid=\"9\">gear<\/span> and others just showed off in tight stripy <span class=\"red-underline\" data-startindex=\"161\" data-endindex=\"168\" data-paragraphid=\"9\">vests,&rdquo; <\/span>Synelnikova added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"root-block-node\" data-changed=\"false\" data-paragraphid=\"10\">The profiles are supposedly fitted with pictures of the soldiers in their uniforms<span class=\"red-underline\" data-startindex=\"82\" data-endindex=\"82\" data-paragraphid=\"10\">,<\/span> some even pose with their guns.<\/p>\n<p class=\"root-block-node\" data-changed=\"false\" data-paragraphid=\"11\">Another soldier seemed to show off a selfie with his kitten, an interesting complement to his picture with his gun.<\/p>\n<p class=\"root-block-node\" data-changed=\"false\" data-paragraphid=\"12\">But the dating plans didn&rsquo;t seem to take off as many Ukrainian women chose to swipe left instead. And soon after, Russian troops had to go dark and say goodbye to Tinder altogether.<\/p>\n<p class=\"root-block-node\" data-changed=\"false\" data-paragraphid=\"13\">The story of the Russian soldiers is a stark contrast to that of their Ukrainian counterparts, who have been giving advancing forces a tough time despite their small numbers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"root-block-node\" data-changed=\"false\" data-paragraphid=\"14\">Another one that stands out is that of the <a href=\"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/viral-clip-shows-ukrainian-soldiers-defiant-against-russian-warships\/\">13 guards on Snake Island<\/a>, who, in the face of overwhelming force, responded by telling Russian warships to fuck themselves.<\/p>\n<p data-changed=\"false\" data-paragraphid=\"14\">We&rsquo;re monitoring the situation to see whether Putin&rsquo;s ambitions create issues for countries beyond Ukraine.
