Heartbreak can be tough for people, but some handle it better than others.

One man who took being dumped particularly harshly is Li Wang, who scaled a 120,000 volt high-tension power line in China before proceeding to drown his sorrows.

Hundreds of astonished bystanders watched on as the fire brigade and police tried to coax him down, but he ignored their pleas and continued to drink.

Eventually, Mr Wang fell asleep and rescuers were able to prevent him from getting into any more trouble.

"We didn't know whether he was going to break his neck in a fall when he passed out or fry himself alive on the electric power lines. He was very lucky," said a fire service spokesman.

I'm sure Mr Wang will regret his actions when he looks back on them and maybe next time he is down in the dumps he should just stick to a bar!
