If you're anything like me, you'll hate being stuck in traffic.

It can be such a frustrating experience, especially if you are only trying to go a relatively short distance.

However, visitors to a West Midlands safari park got quite a shock when the road was blocked by an elephant that had decided to take a snooze.

Named Five, the 20-year-old was tired after the warm weather experienced in the UK at the start of October.

Safari head keeper Andy Plumb told the Daily Mail: "When I arrived there was a queue of traffic forming and it just got bigger – he's a bit of a character so I'm not surprised he decided to crash out on a road."

Mr Plumb added they eventually managed to wake up Five and got him to sleep somewhere out of the way.

One thing's for sure, if there's an elephant in the middle of the road you'll not be getting to go anywhere in a rush.
