{"id":1139,"date":"2011-09-21T09:57:05","date_gmt":"2011-09-21T09:57:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?1139"},"modified":"2011-09-21T09:57:05","modified_gmt":"2011-09-21T09:57:05","slug":"florida-teenager-catches-800lb-alligator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/florida-teenager-catches-800lb-alligator\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida teenager catches 800lb alligator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Florida teenager got more than he bargained for when he went fishing.<\/p>\n<p>This is because instead of catching some fish, Tim Stroh ended up landing himself an 800-pound alligator.<\/p>\n<p>The most remarkable aspect of the story is that the 19-year-old used a regular rod to snare the monster reptile.<\/p>\n<p>In all, the gator was over 12 ft long, while Mr Stroh is only 6 ft 3 ins.<\/p>\n<p>However, he did not let the size and weight differential put him off and bravely reeled it in, before receiving some assistance from his parents and their friend.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Mail quoted Mr Stroh as saying: &quot;I wasn't just pulling him in with my arms, I was using my legs. It was hard. He had a lot of character and I had a lot of fun.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>It seems that in this case of man versus beast there was only ever going to be one winner.<\/p>\n<p>Posted by Trevor Smith<br>
