{"id":1136,"date":"2011-09-20T11:53:04","date_gmt":"2011-09-20T11:53:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?1136"},"modified":"2011-09-20T11:53:04","modified_gmt":"2011-09-20T11:53:04","slug":"antarctic-trek-to-raise-funds-for-help-for-heroes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/antarctic-trek-to-raise-funds-for-help-for-heroes\/","title":{"rendered":"Antarctic trek to raise funds for Help for Heroes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An army officer is to trek through the Antarctic in order to raise fund for Help for Heroes.<\/p>\n<p>Julian Mitchell is taking part in the British Services Antarctic Expedition 2012 &ndash; Spirit of Scott, WalesOnline reports.<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old is one of 24 people heading to the uncharted area for the two-month journey and those taking part hope to raise &pound;10,000 by completing the voyage.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Mitchell told the news provider: &quot;I've always wanted to go to Antarctica.
