Staying in tip-top condition is an absolute must for members of the armed forces and there is now a new application which means the music on their iPods can help them get in even better shape.

The Powerade Pulse app creates optimum workout playlists by trawling through soldiers’ music files, analysing them and ordering them by beats-per-minute.

This then allows boys and girls in the armed forces to pick a list and set the pace of their workout, giving them a selection of tunes which are perfect for whatever intensity they want the session to be.

When soldiers are happy with the playlists the application has made, the songs are delivered straight to their iTunes library and stored as lists.

Anyone can download the app for absolutely nothing, meaning guys and girls can get another tool to add to their exercise arsenal at no cost whatsoever.

There are loads of applications dedicated to exercise which members of the armed forces can get for their iPods, including iWorkout, which is like having a ‘personal trainer in your pocket’.
