An artist wants to show her support for soldiers by selling her work and donating funds to Help for Heroes.

Jackie Field has already raised £550 for the organisation but she now wants to hit the £1,000 mark, the Eastbourne Herald reports.

She says she was inspired to create original prints and auction them off after witnessing the work being carried out by the body.

Ms Field has many family members in the armed forces and her partner is currently in the Territorial Army, after serving as a soldier.

"I have been to a lot of memorial services and events and seen those who have come back from serving and need our help," she explains.

A lot of her work involves images of famous buildings and one particularly impressive piece is of Brighton Pavilion – built between 1787 and 1823 – which uses a technique involving etching, engraving and filling wood and lino.
