What Does <\/span>Bootneck Mean?<\/h1>\n

Branch: Army\/Royal Marines<\/p>\n

Definition: This is one of our favourites. Bootneck<\/a> is a word that is used in the British Army to refer to a Royal Marine. If anything, you’ll find even the Marines calling themselves bootnecks too. The tradition dates back a couple of centuries when they used to wear a leather strap around their necks, and it looked more or less like a boot.<\/p>\n

Example: Just yesterday I found out that he used to be a bootneck<\/a>, now he seems more appealing than ever before. I have a serious thing for men who have served as Royal Marines. <\/span><\/p>\n
